The role and function of a supervisor, the basic principles of effective communication, the theories underlying the NOSA Five Star System, the main components of the NOSA Five Star System, common causes of incidents and basic prevention techniques, the legal requirements concerning the employer’s basic duties and responsibilities, hazards and risks associated with a workplace, general principles of occupational health in the workplace, including the functions of OHS personnel, environmental awareness and waste management, basic understanding of management in the workplace and an overview of management responsibility.
