COURSE OUTLINE
This course focuses on distinguishing between various types of law, legislation and liability. Employers and Employees will be able to understand the need for the COID Act and the role this act plays In the workplace.
Distinguish between Common Law and Legislation, Distinguish between Criminal and Civil Liability, Describe where the COID Act fits into the broader legal responsibilities for SHE, Justify the necessity for the COID Act, Identify who is an employer and employee in terms of the COID Act, Identify an accident in terms of the COID Act, Discuss what happens after an accident, Analyses the right to compensation, Distinguish between the various types of disability, Compare occupational diseases to injuries and List the employer’s administrative duties.
