Course Outline

This course focuses on the implementation of a system whereby there is continuous improvement culture.

A 5S system assist to streamline rules in order to eliminate waste and maintain an efficient, safe and clean work environment.

The 5S methodology is simple and may be adopted by any company to improve workflow within an organisation.

A brief introduction to Lean Manufacturing which will highlight a way of thinking about productive systems with a focus on reducing the unnecessary, eliminating wasted materials, effort, and time. The 5S fits naturally here, because it works toward a streamlined, organized, and clean workplace.

This course will also demonstrate how the 5S is derived from the philosophy of “kaizen” and that perfection is unattainable and that everything can however be improved upon. People must strive to evolve and innovate constantly thereby effecting change would be the best strategy for improvement.

These practical global systems do not require any Technical analysis and can be implemented in Companies across all sectors as well as both private and government organisations.

The methodology is simple, practical and its visual nature makes it an engaging aid for operators, directors and Employees.
